Installation Instructions

How to install OpenTest on your system

macOS Installation

  1. Download the .dmg file for your Mac (Intel or Apple Silicon)
  2. Open the downloaded file
  3. Drag OpenTest to your Applications folder
  4. Important First-Time Setup:
    • Method 1 (Easiest): Right-click OpenTest.app → Select "Open" → Click "Open"
    • Method 2 (Terminal): Run xattr -cr /Applications/OpenTest.app
  5. OpenTest will open normally from now on!

Why This Step?

OpenTest is code-signed but not App Store distributed. macOS requires this one-time security step. After this, the app opens normally! Your data is completely safe.

System Requirements

  • macOS 10.15 (Catalina) or later
  • 4 GB RAM minimum (8 GB recommended)
  • 500 MB free disk space
  • Internet connection for API testing
